Due to the nature of our products, we do not expect that
this site will be visited by children under 13; after all,
how many children are in the market for garden furniture?
Nonetheless, if we learn that a child
under the age of 13 has provided personally identifiable
information to this site, we will promptly remove such information
from our files. The term personally
identifiable information means any information that
can be used to identify or contact a specific individual,
such as a name, address, telephone number or e-mail address.
For each visitor to our website, only the visitor's IP (numeric)
address is recorded. Email addresses are not obtained through
any means other than direct submission by the visitor for
the purposes of receiving a catalog or newsletter or placing
an order. IP addresses are collected automatically by our
server to be used only to determine the top several IP addresses
from which we receive the most traffic. IP address is not
used in any way to personally identify any website visitor
or their movement throughout the site.
For the online store portion of this site, including secure
order processing and encryption, Tidewater Workshop uses
Yahoo! Store as a host; all secure transactions take place
on Yahoo!'s secure servers. The following information pertains
only to the online shopping portion of this site, and is
quoted directly from the Yahoo!
Shopping Privacy page:
you make a purchase through Yahoo! Shopping, the merchant
will ask you for your name, billing and shipping addresses,
email address, telephone number, and credit card information.
Each merchant from whom you make a purchase will receive
your personal and order information. Merchants may ask for
additional information. Each merchant is solely responsible
for their use of your personal and order information.
In addition to the merchant, Yahoo! may also collect and
use certain personal and order information from Yahoo! Shopping
users. You can access your order status and history in Yahoo!
Shopping if you are a registered Yahoo! user. Yahoo! does
not give your personal information or any information about
where you have shopped or what you bought to any of our partners
process. If you choose to change your browser preferences
to disable cookies, you will still be able to make purchases
through most Yahoo! Shopping merchants but you will be limited
in the number of items you can purchase at one time.
Yahoo! Shopping merchants use secure servers to protect
all of your personal information including your name, address
and credit card information. "

We will not share your email address with any other company

only aggregate number of visits by all email recipients.

Tidewater Workshop respects the privacy of our customers. Any and all communication in any form (including but not limited to written, verbal communication or conversation, email, and advertising) between Tidewater Workshop (including but not limited to its officers, employees, and suppliers) and its customers is copyright at the time of its transmission and may not be copied, reproduced, retransmitted or otherwise disseminated in any form to any other party without the express written consent of the CEO of Tidewater Workshop AND our customer. Tidewater Workshop will respect and enforce this copyright with respect to any online posting or communication of any form to a third party. Please rest assured that all of us at Tidewater Workshop seriously value your safe, secure, and private transaction with us.
A further word about disputing credit card charges. Credit card charge disputes are expensive, nasty and have a damaging effect on both parties. Before you dispute a charge be sure that you have written an email to our CEO at email@example.com and attempted to resolve the matter as per our Terms and Conditions.
A further word about posting comments online. Comments posted online at "review" sites (which are really complaint-driven sites) live forever in cyberspace. In order to post something online, it is necessary to make sure that what you write is honest, factual, and every word written will be true FOREVER. Our experience is that we could fill tens of thousands of orders properly and with no problem, but a handful of temporarily unhappy people posting an angry rant makes it appear to customers as though their experience is the norm. If you have had a great experience, tell your friends, your family and tell us too. If you are in the middle of a less-than-perfect experience, tell our CEO at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Tidewater Workshop and the names of its principals are registered trademarks. Any use of these or any of our other trade and service marks by any other party is strictly prohibited. If you are angry and hastily decide to post an online complaint or review and use our name and/or registered marks on a website that is selling third party merchandise with ad-words or links, that is a violation of our mark and/or copyright. This is also true if you decide to write or email any one of a number of third-party, for-profit "better business" agencies.
Because of the destructive nature of comments posted online either directly or through a third-party, for-profit "better business" agency, Tidewater Workshop reserves the right to protect our interests and seek recovery of damages should an online posting use our marks without authorization or appear and have inaccurate, misleading and/or defamatory, actionable language or language that was true at one point but is no longer true. There is a misconception that companies - large and small - are fair game like politicians where anyone can say or write anything and get away with it. Tidewater Workshop is part of the larger online movement where companies now have to take a aggressive stance to defend themselves - often in court- against libelous and other law-breaking postings. It is sad that the internet has yet to police itself but that day is coming.
As such, at the moment any customer executes and provides payment for an order with Tidewater Workshop in any manner, that customer agrees to the following:
I agree that the transaction with Tidewater Workshop represents a contract between Tidewater Workshop and myself. As such, contractually, I explicitly agree that I will not post any comment, review, or other details of this transaction nor dispute the credit card charge (if applicable) without the express written consent of Tidewater Workshop. I further agree to handle any dispute regarding our transaction directly with the CEO of Tidewater Workshop and no other party. I further agree that any litigation regarding this transaction will be within the jurisdiction chosen by Tidewater Workshop. I understand that if I violate these terms, I am responsible for any and all damages suffered by Tidewater Workshop.
